We are seeking experienced **Freelance Basque Translators, Post-Editors, and Reviewers** for ongoing **English to Basque** and **English to Spanish (Spain)** localization projects.

This role is tailored for language professionals who understand complex mechanical engineering and digital imaging concepts. If you have experience localizing user manuals, firmware, or hardware specifications for commercial printers and industrial devices, this **100% remote freelance position** is the perfect fit.

### Key Responsibilities

As a **Technical Localization Specialist**, you will:

-   Perform high-quality **Technical Translation, MTPE, and Revision** from English into Basque and Spanish (Spain) for high-tech industrial clients.
-   Translate and review complex documentation, including **user manuals, firmware strings, printer driver interfaces, hardware specifications, and maintenance guides**.
-   Ensure absolute precision when handling technical terminology related to **digital printing, imaging software, mechanical devices, and industrial machinery**.
-   Collaborate with localization Project Managers to build, update, and maintain client-specific **term bases (glossaries) and Translation Memories (TM)**.

## Requirements

-   Native-level fluency in both **Basque** and **Spanish (Spain)**, with an expert command of source technical English.
-   Bachelor's degree in **Translation, Linguistics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field** is highly preferred.
-   Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in **technical localization, engineering translation, or post-editing** mechanical/electronic content.
-   Deep, proven knowledge of technical terminology and engineering concepts, **specifically within the printing, copier, 3D printing, scanning, or digital imaging sectors** is considered an advantage.
-   Comfortable working in cloud-based CAT tools; specific willingness to onboard and work in **WordsOnline** (Acclaro).
-   Exceptional attention to technical detail, a methodology for researching rare terminology, and a strict commitment to data consistency.
