## Description

**Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers** is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and enriching environment for young children to explore, learn, and grow. We believe in the importance of early childhood education and are actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our Rochester team.

As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you have responsibility for day-to-day classroom activities with the support and collaboration of an assistant teacher to provide the best possible learning experience for young children utilizing the High Scope curriculum.

**Position Details**:

Status: Regular, full-time

Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:30am-4:30pm)

Hourly rate- $16-$20/hour (_based on certification or degree plus years of experience in early childhood education_)

Location: Onsite, Rochester, MI

## Requirements

-   CDA (Child Development Associate) credential required -OR- a bachelor’s degree or associate degree in early childhood education, child development or child-related field preferred
-   Minimum of one year experience in a toddler classroom is required
-   CPR Certification (Heartsaver for K-12 schools), may obtain within 30 days of hire
-   Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Child Care Licensing guidelines for ECE Teachers

**Essential functions:**

-   Ensures overall safety of children
-   Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
-   Implement HighScope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
-   Conduct Parent Teacher conferences
-   Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
-   Attend Heartfelt Impressions company/school meetings
-   Partner with parents and assist students regarding “Toilet Learning” approaches
-   Participate in snack and meal service Family Style Dining
-   Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
-   Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
