_**\*Applications and CVs/resumes MUST be submitted in English to be considered\***_

This is a **3-month freelance engagement**, working **40 hours per week**, and is **fully remote within Brazil,** looking to start within 2 weeks.

_**We are not looking for a vibe coder.**_

We are seeking an experienced **PixiJS Game Developer** to take ownership of the technical quality, architecture, and performance of our browser-based games. This role is ideal for an engineer who has spent several years building and shipping game products with **PixiJS** and understands the realities of delivering maintainable, scalable, production-ready code.

You will work on existing titles, improving and extending games that have been rapidly developed through modern AI-assisted workflows and prototyping processes. You will implement gameplay features, UI systems, animations, audio, and game mechanics while ensuring a consistent player experience across desktop and mobile devices. You will also be responsible for identifying technical debt, improving code quality, and establishing best practices that support long-term development and maintenance.

_This is not a role for a vibe coder - we need a developer with a proven track record of building, optimising, and shipping commercial games using PixiJS in a professional environment prior to the use of AI in coding._

## Requirements

**What we are looking for:**

- Strong experience using **PixiJS**
- Good working knowledge of **Git** and collaborative development workflows
- **GSAP** for animation and tweening
- **Howler.js** for audio integration
- **Vitest** and/or **Playwright** for testing and quality assurance
- Analytics and monitoring tools such as **PostHog** and **Sentry**

**Nice to Haves:**

- Previous experience developing casual, puzzle, arcade, or mobile-style games
- Experience shipping and supporting live HTML5/browser-based games
- Familiarity with scalable game architecture and reusable gameplay systems
- Experience optimising games for lower-spec or mobile devices
- Understanding of asset delivery and CDN pipelines

## Benefits

- Competitive Hourly Rate
- Dynamic, multicultural and fun environment.
- You will be working for the world's leading provider of game services.
- We empower our people and offer regular progression opportunities to ensure our employees flourish.
