## Description

Why This Job Is Exciting

Innovatrics builds biometric technology used in elections, border control, digital ID, and secure onboarding across 80+ countries. Our algorithms have reached over a billion people.

We are currently looking for the founding member of our internal Data & Integrations team — the person who builds the data infrastructure, pipelines, and analytical tools that power every department. There's no legacy team to inherit, no backlog to work through before you can own something. You'd design and build from day one, with real stakeholders and visible impact from week one.

We're also serious about AI-augmented work. We expect you to use AI coding tools not occasionally, but as a core part of how you operate — shipping faster and at higher quality than a traditional single-person function could.

In your first months, you'll focus on understanding before building. You'll map existing data integrations, get to know the systems and tools used across Technology, Sales, Finance, and Operations, and identify where the biggest pain points and opportunities lie. You'll stabilize the most critical existing pipelines and start building relationships with the stakeholders you'll be serving.

As you settle into the role, you'll take ownership of internal data integrations and progressively reduce dependency on external contractors. You'll deliver your first internal tools that eliminate manual workflows, establish documentation and integration standards, and lay the BI foundations Innovatrics needs for clearer performance visibility.

Within your first year, the goal is clear: full ownership of internal data integrations with stable, well-maintained pipelines and near-zero failures. A reworked BI model and cross-functional value chain map. Cluster and solution-level P&Ls that feed directly into leadership decisions. Self-service dashboards that let non-technical teams answer their own questions — without filing a ticket.

What You'll Build

Your work here won't get lost in a backlog — it will shape the internal engine that powers a global-scale company. You'll build the infrastructure, tools, and analytical capabilities that allow every department to operate smarter and faster. We're a small team, so your ideas ship fast. You'll have real ownership, real stakeholders, and real impact from week one.

You'll work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales and Technology. You'll report directly to \[Hiring Manager Title\].

Join us if you're passionate about turning complex data landscapes into clean, reliable systems — and using AI to deliver more than anyone expects from a single hire.

## Requirements

Who You Are

You're a technically strong data professional who's equally comfortable in a SQL editor and a stakeholder meeting. You don't wait to be told what to build — you ask the right questions, find the gaps, and fill them. You use AI tools the way a senior engineer uses a compiler: constantly, fluently, as part of how you think.

Specifically, you bring:

- 3+ years in data analytics, data engineering, or a closely related technical role
- Strong SQL and solid hands-on Python (or comparable scripting language)
- Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines and integrations across multiple business systems
- Experience with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or similar)
- Comfort working with REST APIs and connecting disparate internal systems (ERP, CRM, financial tools)
- Demonstrated, habitual use of AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) — not as an experiment, but as a regular part of your workflow
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate findings to non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing principles, and data quality practices

Nice to have:

- Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or dbt
- Experience integrating LLM-based features into internal tools (natural language interfaces, automated reporting, anomaly detection)
- Prior experience at a scale-up or product company where you helped build data infrastructure from an early stage

Tech Stack

SQL · Python · Qlik (or comparable BI tool) · REST APIs · ETL/ELT pipelines · AI development tools · Cloud data platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) · dbt / Airflow (nice to have)
