## Description

### Position Summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a **Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician with Obstetrics training** to provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan while also delivering obstetric services. This role focuses on continuity of care, preventive medicine, and collaborative obstetric practice within a multidisciplinary care environment.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide full-scope outpatient primary care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
-   Deliver prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for obstetric patients
-   Manage low- to moderate-risk pregnancies within scope of training and privileges
-   Perform vaginal deliveries and assist with obstetric procedures as credentialed
-   Conduct well-woman exams, gynecologic care, and family planning services
-   Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
-   Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and imaging
-   Coordinate care with obstetrics, nursing, pediatrics, anesthesia, and specialty teams
-   Provide patient education on pregnancy, childbirth, preventive care, and wellness
-   Participate in obstetric call coverage as required
-   Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
-   Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives

### Practice Setting

-   Outpatient family medicine clinic with integrated obstetric services
-   Hospital-based labor and delivery coverage associated with obstetric responsibilities
-   Schedule may include clinic sessions, delivery coverage, and call responsibilities depending on practice model

### Patient Population

-   Patients across the lifespan
-   Obstetric patients with low-risk pregnancies

## Requirements

### Qualifications

-   MD or DO from an accredited medical school
-   Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency with obstetric training
-   Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
-   Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state
-   DEA registration or eligibility
-   Current obstetric privileges or ability to obtain privileges
