## Description

The Embassy seeks a professional, discreet and highly reliable Ambassador’s Chauffeur to provide safe, punctual and courteous transportation for H.E. the Ambassador, official visitors and senior staff. The successful candidate will ensure the Ambassador’s travel needs are met with the highest standards of confidentiality, protocol and vehicle presentation.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Safely drive the Ambassador and designated diplomats/guests to meetings, official events, airport transfers and other appointments
-   Maintain the Ambassador’s official vehicle to a pristine standard (cleanliness, fuel, routine checks) and liaise with maintenance providers for servicing and repairs
-   Plan routes and manage travel time to ensure punctuality, adjusting for traffic and security considerations
-   Assist with loading/unloading luggage and official documents discreetly and professionally
-   Maintain accurate journey logs, mileage records and fuel receipts
-   Ensure all required documents for the vehicle are valid and on hand (insurance, registration, tax, etc.)
-   Adhere to embassy security protocols, confidentiality and diplomatic procedure at all times.
-   Coordinate with embassy security and protocol officers for convoy arrangements and special events
-   Occasionally perform administrative errands or light household/office duties as requested by the Ambassador or office
-   Be available for occasional out-of-hours duties, official functions and travel with the Ambassador when required

## Requirements

**Required Qualifications & Experience**

-   Valid Irish driving licence with appropriate categories; clean driving record
-   Minimum 3 years’ professional driving experience; experience driving VIPs, diplomats or senior executives preferred
-   Demonstrated knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns and efficient routing
-   Strong understanding of confidentiality, discretion and diplomatic protocol
-   Professional appearance, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-   Physically fit and able to assist with luggage when necessary

**Desirable**

-   Defensive driving or advanced driver training/certification
-   First aid certification
-   Previous experience working within an embassy, consulate or government office
-   Basic vehicle maintenance skills and familiarity with fleet management
