## Description

**Receptionist (Construction)**

**Position Type:** Full-Time, Remote
**Working Hours:** U.S Business Hours

### About the Role

We are looking for a confident, organized, and customer-focused Remote Receptionist to support a construction business focused on roofing and custom home services.

This is a highly phone-based role combining inbound lead response, outbound follow-up, cold calling, appointment booking, and call tracking. You’ll be one of the first points of contact for potential customers, helping turn inquiries into booked consultations while ensuring every interaction is properly documented.

### What You’ll Own

**Inbound Lead Response**

- Receive and handle calls from leads who have submitted forms through the company website.
- Qualify their interest and understand their needs.
- Move qualified leads toward a booked appointment with the appropriate team member.

**Outbound Lead Follow-Up**

- Proactively call prospects who have expressed interest but have not yet converted.
- Keep the pipeline warm through consistent follow-up.
- Reduce drop-off between initial inquiry and consultation.

**Cold Calling**

- Conduct structured outbound cold calling campaigns.
- Generate new interest in roofing and custom home services.
- Follow established scripts while adapting naturally to live conversations.

**Appointment Booking**

- Schedule consultations and site visits accurately.
- Coordinate availability with the appropriate team members.
- Avoid double-bookings and missed opportunities.

**Call Tracking & Notes**

- Log every call, outcome, and follow-up action clearly.
- Keep lead records accurate and up to date.
- Ensure the team always has a current view of where each lead stands.

**Professional Brand Representation**

- Serve as the first voice many customers hear.
- Communicate warmly, clearly, and professionally.
- Speak confidently about the company's roofing and custom home offerings.

### Required Experience & Skills

- Proven experience in a receptionist, call center, customer service, or inside sales role with a significant phone-based component.
- Experience handling both inbound and outbound calls confidently.
- Ability to conduct cold calls without heavy supervision.
- Strong spoken and written English fluency.
- Clear pronunciation and strong active listening skills.
- Ability to keep callers engaged and conversations on track.
- Comfortable using scheduling or CRM tools to log calls and manage appointments.
- Specific platform experience is a plus.
- Reliable home office setup with stable internet, a quality headset, and a quiet calling environment.

### What Makes You a Strong Fit

- You remain calm and professional when calls become challenging.
- You are comfortable handling rejection and staying consistent during cold calling.
- You take ownership of lead follow-up rather than waiting to be reminded.
- You proactively flag unusual or important customer situations to the internal team.
- You are organized and consistently document every interaction.
- You can work independently while maintaining close communication with the team.

### What Success Looks Like

- New website leads are contacted promptly and professionally.
- Qualified prospects are effectively moved toward booked appointments.
- Follow-up leads remain warm and receive consistent outreach.
- Cold calling generates new conversations and interest.
- Appointments are scheduled accurately without double-bookings or missed opportunities.
- Every call and follow-up action is properly documented.
- The team has a clear, up-to-date view of the lead pipeline.
- Customers receive a professional and positive first impression of the company.

### Typical Day

Your day revolves around the phone. You’ll start by reviewing new form submissions and prioritizing callback attempts for fresh leads.

As calls come in, you’ll qualify callers, answer basic questions about roofing projects and custom home builds, and schedule appointments on the calendar.

Between inbound calls, you’ll run outbound sessions, following up with leads that have gone cold and working through cold calling lists to open new conversations.

You’ll log every interaction as you go, ensuring the team has a live picture of the pipeline.

The role is largely independent, but you’ll stay in close communication with the internal team to flag hot leads, reschedule appointments, and surface anything that requires their attention.

### Interview Process

1. Recruiter Screening
2. Client Interview
3. Final Selection
