## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Commercial Construction Superintendent** to lead field operations for commercial and multifamily construction projects throughout the Memphis area. This role is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through final completion while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a proven background working for a **commercial general contractor**, excels at coordinating subcontractors and field teams, and is committed to delivering successful projects through strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail.

### Responsibilities

-   Oversee all on-site construction activities from project startup through final completion.
-   Supervise subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and trade partners to maintain project schedules, quality, and productivity.
-   Develop, update, and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
-   Coordinate project sequencing, site logistics, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
-   Monitor subcontractor performance and proactively resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and constructability challenges.
-   Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite safety programs.
-   Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project plans and specifications.
-   Review construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, specifications, and project documentation to support field execution.
-   Partner with Project Managers to coordinate procurement, scheduling, budgets, and project milestones.
-   Lead subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and daily planning discussions.
-   Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, progress photos, and project records.
-   Coordinate inspections, punch-list completion, owner walkthroughs, project turnover, and final closeout.
-   Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

## Requirements

-   7+ years of Superintendent experience managing commercial construction projects.
-   Proven experience leading commercial, multifamily, healthcare, education, industrial, mixed-use, or institutional construction projects.
-   Previous experience working for a commercial general contractor is strongly preferred.
-   Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and field operations.
-   Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
-   Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
-   Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-   Experience coordinating multiple trades simultaneously on active construction sites.
-   Ability to maintain project schedules while delivering high-quality workmanship.
-   Candidates located in or willing to relocate to the Memphis area are preferred.
-   Ability to successfully complete professional reference checks and a pre-employment drug screening
