## Description

·       Design, implement, and configure system monitoring and event management tools such as OEM and BHOM

·       Administer and customize application monitoring, including event correlation across systems, networks, applications, and other sources.

·       Prioritize and maintain the roadmap while remaining hands-on technically and accountable for delivery of outcomes.

·       Assist internal users in designing and maintaining production-quality dashboards for hardware and event statistics.

·       Configure and manage custom reporting and alerting.

·       Possess basic knowledge of OCP infrastructure and perform day-to-day operational checks, including system usage monitoring.

·       Possess basic knowledge of Oracle databases, including patching and remediation of endpoint vulnerabilities.

·       Develop and maintain custom scripts and programs as required.

·       Assist with Agent/BHOM and OEM version upgrades, as well as infrastructure expansion activities such as agent installation, instance discovery, and database/server configuration.

## Requirements

·       The candidate must have a minimum of 6+ years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in system monitoring, event management, and Oracle database administration.

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.

·       Proven experience in creating dashboards, visualizations, reports, and managing events.

·       Experience integrating tools such as Geneos, Splunk, Entuity, and OEM with event management platforms to reduce noise from unnecessary events.

·       Strong technical background in open systems, virtualization, storage, and networking technologies.

·       The ideal candidate will also have exposure to DevOps concepts and tools, including Chef, Docker containers, and Kubernetes.

·       Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban), with hands-on experience implementing them in real-world environments and familiarity with related tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Desired Skills:

·       Experience with REST APIs and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.

·       Knowledge and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.

Strong knowledge and experience in system administration and IT infrastructure management.
