**About the Job**

We are looking for an experienced Bus Driver, who is responsible for the daily transfers of Rottnest Express customers from various locations throughout the Perth Metropolitan area to / from Rottnest Express departure terminals and for the daily tour coach operations of the Discovery Tour on Rottnest Island.

This position requires an excellent level of customer service and friendly disposition. As a member of the transport team, you are involved in direct contact with our customers.

**Responsibilities**

Your role is key to ensuring a positive experience for our guests, and involves:  

-   Safely operate Rottnest Express buses according to scheduled routes and timetables.

-   Transport passengers between hotels, caravan parks, ferry terminals, and tour locations.

-   Drive the **Discover Bus Tour** on Rottnest Island.
-   Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting passengers and assisting with their needs.
-   Provide information about Rottnest Express services, products, and ferry operations.
-   Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage.
-   Collect tickets and help ensure smooth boarding processes.
-   Complete required logs, reports, and incident documentation.
-   Report vehicle defects, accidents, or safety concerns.
-   Maintain vehicle cleanliness and refuel buses as required.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced bus driver who not only drives safely but also will act as a positive ambassador for Rottnest Express by creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests throughout their journey.

-   Previous experience as a Bus Driver; tour company experience is desirable

-   Valid passenger transport driver (PTD) authorisation license
-   Minimum Medium Rigid (MR) license
-   Sound driving record (no recent driving violations)
-   General knowledge of Perth CBD and metropolitan area highly advantageous
-   Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
-   Friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
-   Excellent communication abilities.
-   Reliability and attention to safety.
-   Ability to assist passengers with baggage and mobility needs.
-   Strong time management and adherence to schedules.
