## Description

We're looking for a **Graphic Designer** to join the Art Department of an established American paper goods manufacturer producing a broad catalog of notebooks, composition books, legal pads, and specialty paper products. You will lay out and prepare print-ready artwork, design collegiate products within an order-based system, manage licensing submissions, and support marketing and catalog production across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Accuracy is the defining requirement of this role. The collegiate licensing industry is heavily regulated and errors in mass-produced materials carry real costs. The graphics team is the last line of defense before artwork goes to print, and the expectation is that every file that leaves the department is correct. If you are a detail-oriented production designer who is highly proficient in Adobe CC, works cleanly and precisely under deadline pressure, and takes pride in getting the file right before it goes out, this role is a strong fit.

Why You'll Want to Join

- You will be paid in **USD** (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
- **Paid Time Off** in accordance with company policy
- Observance of **Holidays** per company guidelines
- **100% remote setup** so you can work wherever you're most productive
- This role requires availability **Monday through Friday, US business hours, 40 hours per week**
- Work inside a well-established domestic manufacturer with a broad and growing portfolio of design-forward product lines
- High-ownership production design role with direct impact on product quality across a diverse catalog

**What You'll Work On**

**Print-Ready File Production**

- Use PDF files as a guide to lay out content for new workbooks into Illustrator files and create accurate, production-ready artwork
- Design collegiate notebooks, portfolios, journals, and blue books within an order-based system
- Create web images to match customer specifications accurately
- Ensure every file that leaves the department is correct, complete, and production-ready before submission

**Collegiate Licensing Submissions**

- Submit artwork approval requests to licensing agencies in strict compliance with each agency's rules and regulations
- Manage the submission process with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail given the regulatory requirements of the collegiate licensing industry
- Assist customers and sales representatives with their custom collegiate orders

**Marketing and Catalog Support**

- Design brochures and flyers for marketing use
- Assist with the creation of the annual product catalog
- Provide graphic support to other departments as needed

**Digital Asset and File Management**

- Help maintain the cloud-based digital asset management platform
- Organize and manage artwork files in a virtual environment with clear version control and naming conventions

**What You Bring**

- Proficiency in Adobe CC Suite with strong working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign — this is a hard requirement
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in production and licensing artwork contexts
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines without errors
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for file management and order processing
- Comfortable working and communicating in a virtual environment
- Self-directed and organized with a production mindset that prioritizes accuracy over speed

**Nice to Have**

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field
- Experience in a graphic design role within a manufacturing, print production, or collegiate licensing environment
- Background in customer service or working directly with sales representatives on custom orders
- Photography experience
- Familiarity with digital asset management platforms

**How to Apply**

Please include:

1. Your **updated resume**
2. A **portfolio link** showing production design work including print-ready files, layout work, or any collegiate, packaging, or manufacturing-adjacent design examples
3. A **short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes)** introducing yourself, describing your production design experience, and walking through your quality control process before a file goes to print or submission

**Only candidates who submit both a portfolio and Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.**

If you are a precise, production-focused designer who takes pride in getting the file right the first time and wants to work on a broad and diverse catalog for a well-established domestic manufacturer, this role gives you the consistency and the direct impact to do your best work.
