### Paladin Security is Hiring a Healthcare Security Guard!

**Location:** Edmonton, AB  
**Schedule:** Full-Time  
**Pay Rate:** CA$17.00 – CA$21.93/hour  
**Employment Type:** Full-Time

### Overview

Paladin Security is seeking dedicated and professional **Healthcare Security Guards** to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. Healthcare Security professionals play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and healthcare staff.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, possess strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, and are committed to protecting vulnerable populations while providing exceptional customer service.

### Responsibilities

-   Control access to and from healthcare facilities and investigate security irregularities
-   Conduct proactive patrols throughout assigned areas
-   Identify and report security concerns such as unsecured doors, blocked exits, hazardous conditions, and mechanical issues
-   Monitor patient safety and communicate concerns to Protective Services and Nursing staff
-   Monitor surveillance cameras, property activity, and facility events
-   Respond to alarms, emergency calls, and requests for assistance
-   Complete incident investigations and prepare detailed reports
-   Maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with site procedures
-   Assist healthcare staff during emergencies and critical incidents
-   Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence
-   Enforce facility policies and safety procedures

## Requirements

### Must Have

-   Valid Alberta Security License or the ability to obtain one
-   Legally authorized to work in Canada
-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-   Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
-   Ability to write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
-   Ability to make sound decisions under pressure with minimal supervision
-   Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
-   Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies
-   Physical ability to walk approximately 18–20 km per shift and climb stairs regularly
-   Strong observation and problem-solving skills

### Nice to Have

-   Previous healthcare security experience
-   Experience working with vulnerable populations
-   First Aid and CPR certification
-   Experience with CCTV monitoring and access control systems
-   Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
-   Security experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, or public institutions
