## Description

Operate backup, restoration and disaster-recovery capabilities across the approved infrastructure and platform scope. The role maintains recoverability evidence and coordinates recovery exercises while business continuity ownership and recovery priorities remain with the Entity.

### Key Responsibilities

•     Administer backup policies, schedules, repositories, retention and monitoring for approved systems.

•     Investigate failed jobs, perform approved remediation and report unresolved risks and capacity constraints.

•     Plan and execute restoration tests and maintain evidence of recoverability.

•     Support disaster-recovery planning, technical runbooks, failover/failback procedures and simulation exercises.

•     Track recovery objectives and dependencies as confirmed by Entity service and business owners.

•     Maintain backup inventories, job reports, exception registers and recovery documentation.

•     Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, database, application, security and business continuity teams.

•     Participate in agreed on-call or planned out-of-hours recovery activities.

## Requirements

### Minimum Experience and Qualifications

•     Minimum 5 years of enterprise backup and disaster-recovery experience.

•     Strong hands-on experience with Veeam, Commvault or an equivalent enterprise backup platform.

•     Practical understanding of RPO, RTO, retention, immutable/offline backup and recovery validation.

•     VMCE, Commvault certification, BCI/DRI qualification or equivalent preferred.

•     Ability to produce auditable reports and step-by-step recovery procedures.

### Preferred Profile

•     Previous experience supporting UAE government or regulated environments.

•     Working knowledge of TDRA infrastructure and disaster-recovery coordination processes.

•     Experience covering physical, virtual, cloud and database backup workloads.

### Expected Contribution

•     Backup exceptions are detected, owned and resolved or risk-accepted through the agreed process.

•     Restoration tests provide documented evidence of recoverability.

•     Recovery runbooks remain current and usable during exercises or incidents.

•     Dependencies affecting recovery objectives are recorded and escalated.
