We are seeking a highly skilled **Specialist General Surgeon** to join our surgical team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and surgically managing a wide range of general surgical conditions while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The role includes performing elective and emergency surgical procedures, participating in multidisciplinary care, and ensuring compliance with DHA regulations and international clinical standards.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with general surgical conditions.
-   Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries.
-   Manage conditions involving the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal wall, breast, thyroid, soft tissue, and hepatobiliary system within the scope of practice.
-   Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care.
-   Perform minor and major surgical procedures according to hospital privileges.
-   Respond to emergency surgical consultations and participate in on-call duties.
-   Collaborate with anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, gastroenterologists, oncologists, and other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
-   Interpret laboratory investigations and diagnostic imaging to guide surgical management.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, morbidity and mortality reviews, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
-   Supervise junior physicians and contribute to teaching and mentoring activities.
-   Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols.
-   Participate in continuing medical education (CME), research, and professional development activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
-   Postgraduate qualification in General Surgery (MS, Arab Board, FRCS, CCT, American Board, Canadian Fellowship, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification).
-   Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as a **Specialist General Surgeon**, or eligibility to obtain one.
-   International board certification is preferred.
