### About Opalus and OPAL

Opalus Investments Limited is developing OPAL, an AI-powered SaaS business operating platform for SMEs. OPAL places accounting at the core and connects finance, customers, people, projects, documents and workflow in one secure operating environment. We are establishing our software development team and office in Kochi, Kerala.

### The opportunity

Build and operate the secure cloud platform, delivery pipelines and observability capabilities that support OPAL from development through production.

### What you’ll do

-   Design and operate Kubernetes-based application environments on AWS or Azure.
-   Build reliable CI/CD pipelines with appropriate approval, testing and deployment controls.
-   Define infrastructure as code and repeatable environment-provisioning practices.
-   Manage secrets, certificates, access controls and identity integrations.
-   Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting and operational dashboards.
-   Design backup, recovery, resilience and future multi-region operating patterns.
-   Improve availability, security, scalability and cloud-cost efficiency.
-   Work with engineering and QA to improve release safety and incident readiness.

Opalus Investments Limited is developing OPAL, an AI-powered SaaS business operating platform for small and medium-sized businesses. With accounting at its core, OPAL is designed to connect finance, banking, customers, people, recruitment, projects, documents, workflow and reporting in one secure operating environment. A permissioned AI layer is being designed across the connected business record to help users understand information, prepare work and take controlled action with appropriate approvals and audit trails.

The company has completed a high-fidelity working prototype and is building the production-grade platform for an initial Australian release. Opalus is now establishing a software development office and multidisciplinary product team in Kochi, Kerala, to help take OPAL through engineering, testing, release and ongoing product development.

## Requirements

### What you bring

-   7–12 years of overall DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience, including strong hands-on experience operating production environments.
-   Senior individual contributor experience independently designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure.
-   Strong production experience with AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, Helm and Docker.
-   Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform, Bicep or equivalent tooling.
-   CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
-   Observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch or comparable services.
-   Knowledge of container security, vulnerability management and least-privilege access.
-   Strong troubleshooting, automation and operational documentation skills.
-   Experience operating multi-tenant SaaS or financial platforms.
-   Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2 or comparable control frameworks.
-   Experience with disaster-recovery testing and capacity planning.
-   Experience partnering with engineering, QA, security, leadership, and business stakeholders to support reliable and secure software delivery.
-   Eligible to work in India and able to work on-site.
