## Description

We are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our Regulatory Compliance function and support the company as it continues to expand across new markets and jurisdictions.

The role will focus on maintaining and developing the Company's regulatory compliance framework for Payment Institutions (PIs) and Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs).

You will work closely with the Regulatory Compliance team, global expansion teams, senior management and the Board, helping ensure that regulatory requirements are understood, implemented and embedded across the business.

This is a hands-on role with significant exposure to regulatory developments, corporate governance, licensing, policies and procedures, audit activities and regulatory projects. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working across different areas of compliance, can manage multiple priorities and is comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment.

-   Acting as the primary point of contact for all business and supporting units to ensure the harmonized implementation of the Company’s compliance framework and governance culture.
-   Monitoring the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company’s measures and procedures, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions to the Regulatory Compliance function.
-   Coordinating and developing the annual written compliance reports for Senior Management and the Board.
-   Coordinating the accurate and timely submission of all statistical and regulatory returns required by the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC).
-   Designing and delivering comprehensive training programs to educate staff on applicable laws, directives, and the internal compliance framework.
-   Providing compliance advice and sign-off for new products, services, or website marketing materials.
-   Monitoring national and EU legal and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on ongoing business processes, and advising the Company on necessary actions.
-   Maintaining and updating internal policies and procedures to ensure continuous alignment with the CBC requirements and other applicable frameworks.
-   Managing records of internal approvals and facilitating professional communication with the CBC and other relevant competent authorities.
-   Handling client complaints and legal matters related to compliance, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with internal dispute resolution policies.
-   Assisting with the Company’s internal and external audits, as well as thematic reviews or other reporting engagements involving external parties.
-   Supporting the Regulatory Compliance function in the oversight of outsourcing arrangements.
-   Performing such other duties as are inherent to the position or as reasonably determined by the Company, while maintaining the integrity and independence of the compliance function.

Must-Have 

-   2+ years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, ideally within financial services, payments, banking or a professional services environment.
-   Good understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks applicable to Payment Institutions (PIs) and Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs).
-   Experience with payment institution licensing requirements and/or involvement in a licence application in Cyprus or another jurisdiction.
-   Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles, including governance structures, director applications, committee composition, terms of reference and governance documentation.
-   Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical policies, procedures, controls or business requirements.
-   Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and regulatory projects.
-   Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate regulatory requirements clearly to different stakeholders.
-   Proactive and independent approach, with the ability to identify issues, ask the right questions and take ownership of tasks.
-   Eagerness to learn and adapt to new regulatory frameworks and jurisdictions.

Nice-to-have

-   Experience working within the payments industry.
-   Experience with MiCA and/or crypto-related regulatory frameworks.
-   Experience with Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).
-   Understanding of open banking, including Payment Initiation Services (PIS) and Account Information Services (AIS).
-   Experience with licensing applications across multiple jurisdictions.
-   Banking experience.
-   Experience within a Big Four consulting firm, particularly providing regulatory or compliance services to PIs or EMIs.
-   Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews or engagements with competent authorities.
