## Description

**Position Summary** 

A senior engineering role owning end-to-end technical delivery for complex Guidewire PolicyCenter initiatives. The individual leads design and development for assigned domains, mentors engineers, and drives reliability and delivery improvements with minimal oversight. 

**Scope of Responsibility** 

-   Design & Architecture — Leads technical design for complex initiatives; performs impact assessments across product model, configuration, integrations, and downstream systems; partners with Architects on design alternatives. 

-   Development & Delivery — Develops and maintains configurations, rules, integrations, and extensions; leads development across multiple workstreams; enforces best practices through code review. 

-   Technical Leadership — Acts as technical point of contact for assigned domains; drives estimation, planning, and risk management; mentor’s developers and vendor resources. 

-   Production Stability — Leads root cause analysis for complex incidents; drives monitoring and performance improvements; ensures logging, observability, and resilience standards are met. 

-   Stakeholder Engagement — Collaborates directly with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and challenge gaps; communicates risks and recommendations to leadership. Communication must be concise, clear, and free of ambiguity. 

-   Talent Development — Mentors engineers in development, integration, and system design; supports onboarding and knowledge sharing.

## Requirements

**Qualifications** 

-   Experience: 8+ years engineering; 5+ years Guidewire InsuranceSuite; strong PolicyCenter depth; P&C domain experience; experience leading delivery initiatives. 

-   Core Skills: Guidewire configuration, Gosu, Integration Framework, REST/SOAP, Java/J2EE, Spring, SQL/Oracle, batch/event-driven patterns, CI/CD, performance tuning. 

-   Desirable: Experience with Guidewire Jutro Digital Platform (JDP) and Earnix rating/pricing engine integration; cloud-based architecture experience. 

-   Certification: Guidewire Certified Specialist – PolicyCenter Configuration.
