## Description

### **Product Designer**

**Position Type:** Full-Time, Remote
**Working Hours:** U.S. Business Hours

### **About the Role**

We’re hiring a Product Designer to create intuitive, scalable, and visually polished digital product experiences across web and mobile platforms.

This role combines UX thinking, UI craftsmanship, product strategy, and user-centered problem solving. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to design experiences that are not only visually strong, but also highly functional, accessible, and aligned with business goals.

The ideal candidate understands how to simplify complex workflows, create seamless user journeys, and translate research into thoughtful product decisions.

This is not a purely visual design role — we are looking for someone who can own the full product design process from research and wireframes to polished interfaces and developer handoff.

### **What You’ll Own**

### **User Research & Product Discovery**

• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and product research
• Identify user pain points, friction areas, and product improvement opportunities
• Create personas, journey maps, user flows, and interaction models
• Analyze user behavior and product analytics using tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Hotjar

### **UX Design & Product Flows**

• Design intuitive user experiences and workflows for web and mobile products
• Translate product requirements into wireframes, flows, and prototypes
• Simplify complex interactions into clean, user-friendly experiences
• Iterate quickly based on stakeholder and user feedback

### **UI Design & Visual Systems**

• Create high-fidelity, pixel-perfect interfaces in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
• Design responsive layouts optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Define interaction patterns, micro-interactions, and visual hierarchy
• Maintain strong consistency across interfaces and product experiences

### **Design Systems & Scalability**

• Build and maintain scalable design systems and reusable component libraries
• Define typography, spacing, color systems, icons, and UI standards
• Ensure consistency across products, features, and teams
• Improve efficiency between design and engineering through structured systems

### **Collaboration & Product Delivery**

• Partner closely with Product Managers to define requirements and priorities
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
• Provide developer-ready assets, specs, and documentation using Figma Dev Mode or similar tools
• Support QA and refinement throughout development and release cycles

### **Testing & Continuous Improvement**

• Gather feedback after launches and improve experiences through iteration
• Run usability reviews and A/B tests to validate design decisions
• Continuously optimize workflows to improve engagement, retention, and usability

### **What Makes You a Great Fit**

• You are highly user-focused while still thinking about business outcomes
• You enjoy solving product and workflow problems, not just making interfaces look good
• You communicate design decisions clearly and confidently
• You think in systems, flows, and scalability
• You balance creativity with practicality and execution
• You thrive in collaborative, fast-moving product environments

### **Required Experience & Skills**

• 2+ years of professional Product Design or UX/UI Design experience
• Strong proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
• Experience designing responsive web and mobile product experiences
• Strong understanding of UX principles, usability, accessibility, and interaction design
• Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking and UX problem-solving
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

### **Preferred Experience**

• Experience designing SaaS platforms, B2B tools, or consumer applications
• Familiarity with design systems and scalable component libraries
• Exposure to analytics and experimentation tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Optimizely, Hotjar)
• Understanding of HTML/CSS or front-end development fundamentals
• Experience working in Agile or sprint-based product teams

### **What a Typical Day Looks Like**

A Product Designer’s day revolves around solving user problems and improving product experiences. You will:
• Research user behavior and identify UX improvement opportunities
• Create wireframes and prototypes for new features and workflows
• Design polished UI screens aligned with product and brand standards
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers on implementation details
• Review product experiences during development and refine edge cases
• Maintain and improve design systems and reusable components
• Analyze feedback and iterate on launched features

In short: you help turn product ideas into intuitive, scalable, and user-friendly experiences that drive engagement and business growth.

### **Key Metrics for Success (KPIs)**

• Improved usability and task completion rates
• Increased user engagement and retention
• Consistency and adoption of design systems
• On-time delivery of design assets and prototypes
• Reduced design-related implementation rework
• Positive stakeholder and user feedback on product experience

### **Interview Process**

• Initial Phone Screen
• Video Interview with Pavago Recruiter
• Portfolio Review + Practical Task
• Client Interview
• Offer & Background Verification
