**The Opportunity**

This is a senior operational leadership role within our Australian delivery function, accountable for everything from engineering and product development through manufacturing, supply chain, and project execution.

Working closely with the VP of Operations, you will define and execute the delivery strategy that underpins our growth, ensuring every product, deployment, trial, and customer commitment is delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the exceptional standards our clients and communities expect.

**What you’ll do**

-   Lead the engineering team in product development and continuous improvement, championing design-for-safety and design-for-manufacturability principles
-   Oversee manufacturing operations and supply chain, driving lean principles and a zero-defect culture through production planning, materials sourcing, and assembly
-   Partner with the Transition-in (project management) team to plan, resource, and execute all new deployments against agreed timelines
-   Align engineering and manufacturing capacity with the customer pipeline, providing accurate inputs for tenders, bids, and new program commitments
-   Establish and maintain quality management processes across the full delivery lifecycle — from design review through factory acceptance testing and post-deployment verification
-   Integrate field reliability data and technician feedback into engineering and manufacturing improvement cycles
-   Develop and manage budgets across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain; optimise headcount, contractors, and capital expenditure
-   Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing delivery team with clear career pathways and succession plans

**About you**

You’re a technically credible, delivery-obsessed leader who’s spent your career turning complex engineering and manufacturing operations into well-oiled machines.

**You’ll bring**

-   12+ years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, or product delivery roles, with clear progression into senior leadership
-   5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams spanning engineering and manufacturing functions
-   Proven end-to-end delivery of complex technology hardware products, from design through to field deployment
-   Strong background in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, production planning, and quality management systems
-   Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies
-   Strong project management capability (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent demonstrated experience on complex, multi-stakeholder programs)
-   A degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Systems, or equivalent)

Highly desirable:

-   Postgraduate qualifications in engineering management, project management, or business
-   Experience contributing to government tenders or bids in a delivery or operations capacity
-   Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, or related quality and safety management frameworks

**A note on the role:** this position involves national and some international travel, and occasional early mornings or evenings to work across time zones. It’s the nature of a global company with real delivery commitments and people in this team consider it part of what makes the work interesting.
