## Description

Equilibrium is seeking accomplished Principal-level professionals to lead, expand, and shape our Surface Water Management, Mine Environment, Structural Geology, and Mine Waste service lines, joining our established senior leadership team in Rock Mechanics and Hydrogeology.

As we expand our service offerings, these new leadership roles will be central to advancing business growth, strengthening market presence, and shaping the long-term success of the firm, while remaining closely connected to technical excellence and project delivery. You will provide strategic and commercial leadership for your discipline, supported by our executive leadership team, principal consultants, and dedicated finance, HR, recruitment, and marketing professionals.

### **What You’ll Do**

-   Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary consulting engagements while maintaining visibility with key clients and stakeholders. Oversee discipline-level technical governance, review processes, and quality assurance in close partnership with the Chief Technical Officer.
-   Define and execute a three- to five-year strategic growth agenda in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team.
-   Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team through recruitment, succession planning, mentoring, and strong people leadership.
-   Drive business development and market expansion by leveraging your professional network alongside Equilibrium’s established client relationships and reputation.
-   Own the financial performance of your discipline, including profitability, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
-   Monitor business performance against strategic objectives and provide clear reporting and insight to support executive decision-making.

### **What We’re Looking For**

-   A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
-   More than 15 years of industry experience within your area of expertise.
-   Demonstrated success in senior leadership, team development, and strategic client relationship management.
-   Experience working within multidisciplinary mining consulting teams.
-   A strong understanding of project, business unit, and enterprise-level financial management, governance, and reporting.
-   Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-   A mature leadership style, with a demonstrated commitment to mentoring, succession planning, and developing future technical leaders.
