**Secondary Science Specialist (Physics)** 

**All Year Round**  

**£40,000 to £55,000 (full time equivalent) DOE** 

This is a hybrid role which includes working at the White Rose Education offices in Halifax & Leeds. Two days a week in the office (minimum), with flexibility for more if needed.

It is a full time position, working all-year-round.

Working as a Secondary Science Specialist the core purpose of your role will be: 

-   To support and advise secondary schools with effective implementation of the White Rose Science curriculum. 

-   To contribute towards the creation, and production of high-quality materials that support the White Rose Science curriculum 

-   To support any other reasonable request, working with other partners as appropriate.

To be considered for this role you must hold QTS, must have passed your ECT, and must be able to evidence effective teaching and performance within your area of specialism (Secondary Science).  A physics or biology specialism is preferred but not essential.   

**Location:** 

We have offices in Halifax (HX2) and Leeds (LS11), and we are happy to offer flexible working patterns with some protected days in the offices to aid team collaboration.

**The purpose of the role:** 

-   To support the White Rose Science vision of making every teacher of science a world class teacher of science. 

-   To support and advise secondary schools and teachers with the effective implementation of the White Rose Science curriculum. 

-   To support the teaching and learning of science at the secondary phase through the creation of high-quality resources. 

-   To produce high quality materials that support the White Rose Science curriculum. 

**Key accountabilities:** 

-   To contribute towards the development of the White Rose Science curriculum and supporting resources. 

-   To assist in the implementation of the White Rose Science curriculum providing specialist guidance and support to schools. 

-   To role model and demonstrate outstanding teaching and learning. 

-   To deliver school improvement programmes as appropriate.  Examples include providing coaching and mentoring support, target setting, conducting observations, participating in learning walks, undertake audits (if required).  

-   To actively monitor and maintain up to date knowledge of relevant education policy, developments, research and initiatives. 

-   To support the development and enhancement of science in secondary provision across Trinity Multi Academy Trust and other clients, through working with individuals and school leaders. 

-   To actively participate in performance management review(s).
