## Description

The opportunity to contribute to complex engineering work in the Aviation & Aerospace industry, where analytical rigor and technical precision are central to aircraft development and continued airworthiness. This role sits in a specialized aircraft loads environment focused on modeling, simulation, and certification-driven analysis.

As a Professional, Engineering (Aircraft Loads), you will support work that helps define how aircraft respond under a wide range of operating conditions. The role is well suited to an engineer who enjoys technically demanding analysis, model-based problem solving, and contributing to engineering outcomes that support both new aircraft development and in-service programs.

### Responsibilities

- Conduct simulations and analyses to determine aircraft design loads for new development programs and the continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft.
- Develop and maintain low- and high-fidelity models supporting loads analysis.
- Create automated frameworks and tools that improve the efficiency and accuracy of loads analysis.
- Develop nonlinear actuator-modeling tools to meet Transport Canada certification requirements.
- Use commercial and proprietary tools, including a six-degree-of-freedom aircraft simulator.

## Requirements

### How to thrive in this role?

- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; an aerospace specialization is preferred.
- You have 5+ years of relevant aerospace industry experience, particularly in external loads analysis.
- You have experience in nonlinear modeling and certification processes.
- You have strong programming skills in C++, with Fortran, MATLAB, and Python also valued.
- You have knowledge of numerical and scientific computing.
- You have experience with software development using version-control systems such as Git.
- You are familiar with finite element analysis tools such as Nastran.
- You have a solid understanding of aircraft flight dynamics, aeroelastic phenomena including flutter and limit-cycle oscillation, and unsteady aerodynamics in the time and frequency domains.
- You have experience with fly-by-wire systems and control-law integration.
- You have an understanding of airworthiness regulations and certification documentation.
- Experience interacting with certification authorities is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with flight controls or structures teams is a plus.
- Experience delivering technical presentations to internal engineering reviewers is a plus.
- You are eligible to work in Canada.
