## Description

Coretek is seeing a skilled Software Deployment Engineer who is responsible for ensuring that software application packages are installed, configured, and rolled out into production environments in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner. This qualified candidate will work closely with Coretek operations, client IT teams and client software developers to manage the entire deployment lifecycle. 

Responsibilities 

-   Deployment & Rollout: Install, configure, and upgrade software and related infrastructure (servers, databases, web servers)  

-   Release Management: Prepare software for release, coordinate with development teams to integrate new features or fixes, and oversee deployment to live systems  

-   Automation: Assist with the automation of deployment processes to reduce errors, eliminate manual intervention, improve speed, and ensure consistency across environments  

-   Testing: Perform integration, load, and/or automated testing after deployment to validate functionality and performance  

-   Escalation: Escalate software related issues to the client software development team for code remediation 

-   Monitoring & Support: Assist the Coretek Operations team to monitor systems post-deployment, troubleshoot, and escalate issues, and resolve hosting or deployment-related problems promptly  

-   Documentation: Create and update deployment playbooks and configuration documents as needed and provide continuous improvement ideas to create efficiencies for future deployments

## Requirements

-   Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field  

-   Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in software package deployment and operations 

-   Technical Skills: 

-   Experience with Ubiquity gateways, preferred 

-   Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and version control (Git, SVN)  

-   Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)  

-   Familiarization with operating systems (Windows, Linux), databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server), and web server technologies  

-   Certifications Preferred – At least one: 

-   Azure Solutions Architect 

-   AWS Certified Solutions Architect 

-   Certified Kubernetes Administrator 

-   MCSE 

-   Familiarity with event management tools (ie. Elastic, Logic Monitor, Nagios) 

-   Must be willing to work U.S. business hours with some off hours work to support deployments as needed 

-   Excellent customer service skills 

-   Strong problem-solving skills 

-   Excellent communication skills to explain technical details to technical and non-technical stakeholders 

-   Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 

-   Detail-oriented and solid organizational skills 

-   Must be proficient with the English language
