### **About the Position:**

-   17.5% Shift loading in accordance with Peter Cochrane Management EA 2018
-   13.5% Superannuation

Cochrane's Transport is seeking reliable and motivated Freight Handlers to join our Afternoon Shift team at our Gillman Depot on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced transport and logistics environment. As a valued member of our operations team, you'll play a key role in ensuring freight is safely and efficiently sorted, loaded, and unloaded to keep our network moving.

### **Key Responsibilities:**

-   Loading and unloading freight from trucks and trailers
-   Sorting and staging freight for dispatch
-   Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (desirable)
-   Ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently
-   Maintaining a clean and organised work area
-   Following all workplace health and safety procedures

### **About You:**

-   Strong work ethic and reliability
-   Ability to perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy items
-   Good attention to detail and organisational skills
-   Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-   Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
-   Previous experience in freight handling or warehousing (advantageous)
