## Description

### The role

We’re launching a new brand within the Wonderbly group focused on humorous, adult-to-adult book gifting. This is an early-stage role with one core objective: turning a strong brand vision and product plan into a repeatable growth engine.

You won’t be handed a polished playbook. You’ll build it - by testing, learning, and iterating quickly across the full funnel. Reporting to our VP Marketing at Wonderbly, you’ll be working closely with our group CPO and CTO as the first marketing hire for this new venture.

What’s exciting about this role:

- You’ll be building something from scratch, with the backing of an established business and supported by an experienced team
- You’ll work directly on shaping a new brand in-market - not just executing a plan
- There’s clear scope to grow this into a broader leadership role as the brand scales
- The brand is super fun and has a big dose of (not boring) AI at the core of the proposition

### What you’ll do

- Translate brand and product ideas into clear, testable growth hypotheses
- Run rapid experimentation loops across paid media, landing pages, and product positioning
- Identify what actually drives customer acquisition, conversion and repeat revenue
- Work closely with Publishing to pressure-test new product ideas in-market
- Develop and scale winning creative angles and messaging
- Build early performance benchmarks and playbooks from scratch
- Feed learnings back into product, brand, and creative decisions

## Requirements

### Who we’re looking for

You likely have 4–8 years’ experience in growth or marketing, ideally in a D2C or early-stage environment, and have been responsible for driving acquisition through digital channels (e.g. paid social).

More importantly, you’ve already operated in situations where:

- there was no clear playbook
- you had to test your way to answers
- and take ideas from zero to something that works

You’re someone who:

- thinks naturally in hypotheses and experiments, not opinions
- can design and run structured tests across creative, targeting, landing pages, and messaging
- knows how to prioritise signal vs noise and focus on what actually moves performance
- combines creative instinct with analytical thinking
- is comfortable working with strong viewpoints and can use data to drive progress

What matters most:

- High agency - you take ownership and don’t wait for perfect direction
- Clarity of thinking -  you turn messy problems into simple, testable actions
- Bias for action - you move fast, ship, and iterate
- Resilience - you’re comfortable being wrong often and learning quickly
- Love books - you need to be excited by our overall category

### Experience (guidelines, not a checklist)

- 4–8 years in growth / marketing roles, ideally in D2C or startups
- Experience running paid social and/or digital acquisition channels
- Proven track record of testing and scaling new ideas, not just optimising existing ones
