At Focus Group, we're looking for a talented and passionate **PHP Developer** to join our Technology team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and enhancing a portfolio of business-critical applications that support our continued growth and innovation.

Working alongside a collaborative team of developers, QA specialists, and technology professionals, you'll be responsible for building new functionality, improving existing systems, and helping deliver high-quality software solutions that make a real impact across the business.

### What You'll Be Doing

-   Developing new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across our bespoke CMS and CRM platforms.
-   Writing robust, maintainable code and comprehensive unit tests.
-   Collaborating with QA teams to ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and quality standards.
-   Supporting development-related issues through a rotating support desk function.
-   Participating in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and team meetings.
-   Contributing to a variety of technology projects across the business.
-   Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

### What We're Looking For

### Essential Skills & Experience

-   Proven experience in a PHP Developer or similar software development role.
-   Strong experience with **Laravel**.
-   Solid understanding of **JavaScript**, **jQuery**, and **Vue.js**.
-   Experience working with **SQL databases**, ideally MariaDB or MySQL.
-   Strong HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap skills.
-   Experience developing and consuming APIs, with knowledge of tools such as Postman.
-   Good understanding of unit testing and software quality practices.
-   Experience using Git and version control workflows.
-   Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
-   Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-   Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
-   Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering quality solutions.

### Desirable Skills

-   Experience within Telecoms, MSP, ICT, or similar industries.
-   Exposure to CRM and CMS platforms.
-   Knowledge of cloud-based development environments.
-   Understanding of secure development principles and best practices.
-   Experience with .NET technologies.
-   Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
-   Awareness of AI technologies and integrations, including Microsoft Copilot, LLMs, and AI-driven automation solutions.
