## Description

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced **Specialist / Consultant Gastroenterologist** to join its expanding medical team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions, with opportunities to perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in a modern healthcare environment.

Candidates with **UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board** credentials are encouraged to apply.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.
-   Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care.
-   Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.
-   Perform procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy according to clinical expertise.
-   Manage inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver disorders, reflux disease, and other digestive conditions.
-   Assess and manage complex gastrointestinal cases.
-   Provide appropriate pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure follow-up.
-   Collaborate with hepatologists, surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case discussions.
-   Maintain accurate clinical records and procedure documentation.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.
-   Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based clinical practice.

## Requirements

-   MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology**.
-   Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
-   Strong experience in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology.
-   Candidates with **UK CCT / MRCP, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board**, or equivalent internationally recognized specialist qualifications are encouraged to apply.
-   Strong endoscopy experience is highly desirable.
-   Experience in a tertiary-care or multispecialty hospital preferred.
-   Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
-   Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
-   Expertise in advanced endoscopy, ERCP, EUS, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, or GI oncology will be an advantage.
