### Freelance Dutch Linguist - IT & Software Project

Acclaro is currently recruiting **2 experienced Freelance Dutch MTPE Linguists, English to Dutch**, to support ongoing international IT and software localization assignments.

This paid, remote freelance opportunity is ideal for language professionals with native-level written proficiency in **Dutch** and experience in machine translation post-editing, translation, or linguistic review. You will help ensure that localized software and technology content is accurate, fluent, consistent, natural, and appropriate for Dutch-speaking users.

### Position Overview

-   **Language pair:** English to Dutch
-   **Specialization:** IT, software, SaaS, cloud computing, and technology content
-   **Experience:** At least 3 years of relevant professional localization experience
-   **Contract type:** Freelance / Independent Contractor
-   **Engagement type:** Paid, project-based freelance assignments
-   **Location:** 100% remote

### Responsibilities

As a Freelance Dutch MTPE Linguist, you will:

-   **Post-edit** machine-translated IT, software, SaaS, cloud, and technology content from **English into Dutch**.
-   Translate content from English into Dutch when **human translation** is required.
-   Review localized content for **linguistic accuracy, fluency, terminology, consistency, naturalness, style, and completeness**.
-   Apply client-specific terminology, style guides, translation memories, reference materials, and quality requirements.
-   Identify and resolve linguistic issues while preserving the meaning, intent, and technical accuracy of the source content.
-   Collaborate with Acclaro’s Project Management and linguistic teams and complete accepted assignments within agreed deadlines.

## Requirements

-   **Native-level proficiency in Dutch**.

-   Full professional proficiency in English, including the ability to understand technical source content.
-   At least **3 years of professional experience** in translation, localization, machine translation post-editing, editing, or linguistic review.
-   **Demonstrated experience** with IT, software, SaaS, cloud computing, or related technology content.
-   Excellent knowledge of Dutch grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and terminology.

-   Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency across large volumes of content.
-   Experience following client glossaries, style guides, translation memories, and project-specific instructions.
-   The ability to work independently, communicate proactively, and meet agreed deadlines.
-   Familiarity with CAT tools and professional localization workflows.
