## Description

ISTA Personnel Solutions is a fast-growing, global BPO company. We are not a recruitment agency — we operate as a dedicated extension of our U.S.-based clients' teams, delivering high-quality operational support with precision, efficiency, and professionalism.

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing U.S.-based medical transport company that provides scheduled and non-emergency transport services across multiple states. This is a fully remote position based in South Africa, supporting a fast-paced dispatch operation during U.S. business hours.

**About the Role**

As a Dispatcher, you will be the operational hub of a busy transport coordination team. You will not be taking live emergency calls — this role is primarily focused on managing scheduled transport requests that come in through multiple digital channels, ensuring runs are accurately loaded into the CAD system, and ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This is a high-volume, tech-driven role that suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple platforms at once, and takes real ownership of their work.

**PLEASE NOTE**

- **Working Hours:** Rotating shifts covering **Monday – Sunday** | 40-hour / 5-day work week. Shifts may include up to 12 hours across 2–3 days, with shorter shifts on the remaining days. Weekly schedules alternate between team members. Exact shift times will be confirmed during the process (U.S. business hours apply).
- **Public Holidays:** This role requires working on both South African and U.S. public holidays (compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA).
- **Internet Requirements:** A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and wired Ethernet capability is mandatory. Connections via Rain, LTE, 5G, or similar are not acceptable. Applicants without a fixed fibre line will not be considered.
- **Power Backup:** A reliable backup solution is required to manage load shedding and outages (UPS, inverter, solar, etc.). Applicants without a reliable backup solution will not be considered.
- **Work Environment:** Fully remote.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Monitoring multiple online portals for incoming transport requests and claiming runs that fit within operational capacity
- Managing inbound requests across approximately 20 channels — portals, email, Microsoft Teams, text, phone, and direct CAD feeds
- Loading and managing confirmed runs accurately within the CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) system
- Communicating via phone and online radio (VoIP) with transport teams
- Prioritising competing requests and making quick, sound decisions under pressure
- Identifying and flagging capacity issues before they become problems

**What We're Looking For**

- Previous experience in a dispatch, medical admin, emergency services, or similar high-volume coordination role
- Strong multitasking ability — this role demands it from day one
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new platforms quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Calm under pressure with strong prioritisation instincts
- High level of integrity and accountability — remote work requires someone who takes ownership without being watched
- Resilient and emotionally steady — exposure to medical transport scenarios is part of the environment

If you have not been contacted within 14 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful.
