**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented **Finance Manager** who can balance day-to-day accounting responsibilities with process improvement and business partnership. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, leading a team, solving problems, and providing accurate financial information to support business decisions.

The Finance Manager will work closely with the VP of Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, strong internal controls, effective processes, and timely financial reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting and Finance function.
-   Lead the monthly and year-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, supporting schedules, and closing Sage for the reporting period.
-   Support annual budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
-   Oversee accounts payable, vendor setup, payment approvals, and payment controls.
-   Coordinate and support external, internal, and tax audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
-   Manage sales tax and real property tax matters, including government assessments and audits.
-   Oversee inventory accounting, costing, controls, reconciliations, and year-end inventory counts.
-   Manage the calculation and review of employee commissions and bonuses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved compensation plans.
-   Manage and maintain Sage ERP financial data, including pricing, master data, system records, fields, and configurations.
-   Work with external tax advisors to support the preparation and filing of the corporate T2 income tax return.
-   Lead, train, and support Finance team members while driving process improvements and efficiencies.
-   Provide financial and accounting support to other departments, including financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and system support.
-   Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accurate and timely financial information.

## Requirements

-   Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
-   5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
-   Experience managing or supervising Finance/Accounting team members.
-   Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and month-end/year-end close processes.
-   Experience with budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax, inventory accounting, and financial controls.
-   Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
-   Experience with Sage ERP and Power BI is highly preferred.
-   Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
-   Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
-   Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-   CPA designation or progress toward a CPA designation is an asset.
