## Description

The Boiler Performance Manager is responsible for supervising boiler performance engineering activities associated with BPS projects, including department workload planning, proposal support, contract execution, engineering quality, schedule adherence, and technical deliverables.

**Essential Responsibilities**

-   Update the department manpower loading plan monthly. Use the workload plan to support the following decisions:

1.  Individual engineer assignments.
2.  Overall project schedules.
3.  Engineering overtime requirements.
4.  Engineering support required from outside the department.

-   Oversee contract execution from the Contract Kick-off meeting through completion of the Acceptance Test Report and conclusion of results engineering.
-   Oversee proposal efforts, including preliminary design, clarifications and exceptions, man-hour estimates, risk assessments, and schedule development.
-   Understand, update, and maintain Boiler Performance ISO work instructions.
-   Conduct annual performance reviews and submit appraisals for individual engineers.
-   Attend weekly BPS Engineering contract and proposal status meetings.
-   Monitor contract man-hour estimates, meet established targets, and document changes affecting man-hours.
-   Monitor contract schedules, meet established milestones, and document deviations. Maintain communication with the project scheduler and Project Engineer regarding schedule changes.
-   Oversee, review, and approve studies, reports, thermal calculations, predictions, and guarantees.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, particularly in coordinating and documenting all aspects of contract execution. The individual should be a self-motivated leader who can foster cooperation and guide a multi-functional engineering team through boiler performance contract activities.

 **Mandatory Qualifications**

-   Bachelor degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
-   Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in a similar or related industry, with a background in areas such as thermal design, heat transfer, product design, auxiliaries design or other thermal engineering.
-   Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
-   Excellent analytical and computer skills, including proficiency with Word and Excel.
-   Organized and able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and respond quickly to requests.

**Preferred Qualifications**

-   Experience in boiler performance design, including coal, natural gas, oil, or related applications.
-   Field start-up and operating experience.
-   Knowledge of ASME Section I code requirements and product applications.
