## Description

**Position Summary**

The **Assistant Project Manager, Energy** will assist the Energy Project Manager in the planning, execution, and delivery of energy-related projects, including energy efficiency upgrades, renewable energy installations (solar, etc.), building decarbonization, and infrastructure improvements in NYC facilities. The role involves coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, managing project budgets and schedules, and conducting client-facing activities. The selected candidate would be responsible for supporting Audit, Design, and Construction phase energy projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Support project development and construction management activities.
-   Assist in coordinating project activities with both internal and external teams
-   Support team in planning work and developing solutions to technical problems
-   Track project performance, risks, change orders, and reporting on budgets, timelines, and energy savings.
-   Support multiple projects at once, ranging from small-scale tasks to portions of larger initiatives, working under the guidance of the Energy Project Manager or engineering staff

## Requirements

**Education:**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical)

**Experience:**

-   3-7 years of project management or project support experience in energy, utilities, renewables, or construction
-   Demonstrated success supporting energy efficiency, renewable energy, or building decarbonization projects.
-   Experience in NYC market and familiarity with local laws (e.g., LL88, LL97) strongly preferred
-   Experience with DCAS, NYC DOE, NYPA, or other public agencies strongly preferred

**Skills & Competencies:**

-   Strong project management skills and ability to work on interdisciplinary teams
-   Ability to interpret construction documents
-   Understanding of project development and construction process
-   Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Proroce.), budgeting, and data analysis.
-   Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
-   Problem-solving mindset

**Certifications (Preferred):**

-   PMP, DBIA, PE, CEM

**Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year**

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
