**Job Role: Marketing Operations and Business Development Manager**

**Compensation range: $2000 AUD - $3000 AUD / Monthly**

**Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement**

**Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.**

Our client is a premium hospitality and events business delivering high-end food experiences across weddings, private functions, and corporate events in Australia. Known for combining elevated service with detail-focused execution, the business works closely with event planners, luxury venues, and lifestyle brands to create polished guest experiences in fast-paced environments. 

**Role Overview:** 

We're looking for a sharp, self-driven Marketing Operations and Business Development Manager to build and run the commercial side of our new transport venture remotely from the Philippines.

You'll be responsible for getting the business off the ground, setting up the digital infrastructure, driving bookings through paid and organic channels, managing day-to-day operations, and identifying partnership opportunities that keep the vans on the road.

The founder will be your key contact on the ground. You'll work closely with them but operate with a high degree of autonomy.  

**Key Responsibilities:** 

**Business Development**

•     Identify and pursue booking opportunities across airport transfers, hotel shuttles, wine tours, corporate events, and private hire

•     Build and manage a pipeline of B2B partnerships with hotels, event venues, and travel operators

•     Own outreach, email, phone, LinkedIn to generate bookings and strategic referral relationships

•     Work closely with the founder to develop pricing, packages, and service positioning

**Marketing and Digital**

•     Set up and manage Google Ads campaigns to drive online bookings

• Build and maintain the booking-facing website (Squarespace or similar platform-based, not coding from scratch)

•     Set up and manage backend booking software and integrations (plug-and-play tools, not custom development)

•     Manage social media presence and any content supplied by the local team

•     Track and report on channel performance and adjust accordingly

**Operations and Bookings**

•     Manage inbound booking requests and coordinate with drivers

•     Develop and document SOPs for booking flow, driver communication, and customer confirmations

•     Ensure a smooth customer experience from enquiry through to job completion

•     Help build systems that allow the operation to scale without things falling through the cracks

## Requirements

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

•     3+ years experience in a marketing operations, or business development role — ideally across multiple functions

•     Hands-on experience running Google Ads

•     Comfortable setting up and managing website platforms (Squarespace, WordPress, or similar)

•     Experience with booking or CRM software you don't need to be a developer, but you need to be able to figure out new platforms quickly

•     Strong written and spoken English you'll be communicating with Australian clients and partners

•     Self-starter who can take a brief and run with it

•   Background working with Australian or other Western businesses is a strong advantage

•     Experience in transport, hospitality, events, or tourism is a bonus
