### THE ANIMAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TEAM

The Animal and Environmental Health team invests in businesses that improve health outcomes across animal, environmental and public health domains. The team combines deep conviction in these secular tailwinds with disciplined execution, backing differentiated operators and building them through geographic expansion, innovation and strategic acquisition.

### THE ROLE

The Senior Analyst will sit within the Animal and Environmental Health investment team and support the full investment lifecycle, from origination and diligence through execution and portfolio value creation. Reporting to the team's Vice Presidents and Principals and working directly with Partners, the Senior Analyst will own core analytical workstreams and carry direct responsibility for the financial modeling, market analysis and diligence output that inform the firm's investment decisions.

This is a high-ownership seat for a commercial, intellectually curious analyst who wants to develop genuine sector expertise and a durable investing skill set inside a focused, performance-driven team.

- **Investment Analysis & Financial Modeling**

- Build and maintain detailed operating models, LBO models and returns analyses to evaluate new investments, add-on acquisitions and portfolio scenarios.
- Develop valuation frameworks across DCF, trading and transaction comparables, and assess capital structure, sources and uses, and sensitivity outcomes.
- Translate diligence findings into clear, decision-ready outputs that frame the investment thesis, key risks and the path to returns.

- **Due Diligence & Execution**

- Run commercial, financial and operational diligence workstreams in coordination with external advisors, deal counsel and management teams.
- Synthesize data rooms, expert calls and third-party reports into concise findings that sharpen the team's view on each opportunity.
- Draft investment committee memoranda, management presentations and term sheet inputs to a standard that withstands senior scrutiny.

- **Sourcing, Research & Thesis Development**

- Map sub-sectors across the tools and services landscape, identify attractive niches and build the target pipeline that supports proactive origination.
- Produce thematic and competitive research that anticipates structural shifts in end markets, technology and the funding environment.
- Track relevant deal activity, valuations and comparable transactions to keep the team's market intelligence current and actionable.

- **Portfolio Monitoring & Value Creation**

- Monitor portfolio company performance against plan, flagging trends and variances that warrant attention.
- Support add-on M&A, including target screening, modeling and integration analysis, in partnership with portfolio leadership and the deal team.
- Prepare board materials, reporting packages and ad hoc analyses that drive informed decisions across the holding period.

## Requirements

- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in private equity, M&A investment banking, transaction advisory, consulting or a related analytical role, ideally with healthcare or life sciences exposure.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with demonstrated command of LBO and operating model construction, valuation and returns analysis.
- Sound commercial judgment and the ability to structure ambiguous problems, prioritize the issues that matter and reach a clear point of view.
- Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in the life sciences tools and services landscape. Direct sector experience is a plus, not a prerequisite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to distil complex analysis into concise, credible output for a senior audience.
- High ownership and attention to detail. Takes accountability for accuracy and moves with pace under deadline pressure.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Familiarity with data and research platforms (Capital IQ, PitchBook or similar) is preferred.
- Higher education degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering or a life sciences discipline. Strong academic record required.
