**Position Overview**

Ajaia is hiring an IT Security Manager to own day-to-day IT operations and security across the organization. This is a hands-on role. You will manage internal IT systems, enforce security policies, maintain compliance programs, and drive automation across a multi-cloud environment (GCP and Azure).

You are not setting strategy from a distance. You are configuring systems, writing policies, managing access, running audits, and solving problems directly. The company is AI-first, and you are expected to use AI tools to automate processes, improve monitoring, and work faster.

This role starts as an individual contributor with the potential to grow into a team lead as the function scales.

We expect candidates to use AI in daily workflows across research, ideation, drafting, design iteration, quality checks, and delivery acceleration. AI fluency is a core execution requirement, not optional tooling.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
-   4–7 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

-   IT operations and systems administration
-   IT security and security operations
-   Cloud administration and security (GCP, Azure, or multi-cloud environments)
-   Compliance support and audit preparation (HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar frameworks)

-   Hands-on experience administering and securing cloud platforms (GCP and Azure preferred)
-   Familiarity with HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance requirements, including experience supporting audit preparation and evidence collection
-   Experience managing identity and access controls (SSO, MFA, RBAC) and endpoint security policies
-   Experience with Google Workspace administration at an organizational level
-   Ability to manage vendor relationships for IT and security services
-   Comfortable working independently, prioritizing across multiple workstreams, and communicating with non-technical teams
-   Proficiency with AI tools in daily workflow

**Preferred Requirements:**

-   Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent
-   Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD security, or DevOps tooling
-   Scripting ability for automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
-   Background in regulated industries such as healthcare or financial services
-   Experience with GDPR or other regional data protection regulations
-   Experience with endpoint management (MDM) and device policy enforcement for distributed teams
-   Experience with security monitoring, alerting, or SIEM tools
-   Background managing IT operations in a remote-first or distributed environment

## Benefits

-   Base salary: Approximately $30,000–$35,000 USD per year (calibrated for target regions).
-   Performance bonus: Opportunity to earn up to 100% of base salary in performance-based bonuses.
-   Salary and total compensation depend on experience, location, and demonstrated performance during the hiring process.
