**About Amartha**

At Amartha, we empower micro-businesses across Indonesia, enabling growth and equal prosperity. We’ve supported over 2.7 million entrepreneurs—mostly women—by disbursing IDR 22.8 trillion in funding. As we step into 2025, Amartha is evolving into a technology-driven financial ecosystem, expanding our reach in lending, funding, and payments. Through innovation and digital solutions, we aim to enhance accessibility, streamline processes, and create a seamless user experience.

**About the role**

As a Business Growth Sr. Analyst, you’ll play a strategic role in identifying, analyzing, and unlocking new business opportunities for Amartha. This role focuses on combining macro-level data (like BPS statistics) with Amartha’s internal performance data to drive informed decisions for regional expansion, product optimization, and portfolio growth.

You’ll analyze demographic and economic indicators — such as population, poverty rate, and MSME distribution — to pinpoint high-potential regions and translate data insights into actionable business strategies. Collaborating with the Risk, Product, and Operations teams, you’ll ensure every growth recommendation is data-driven, practical, and impactful.

This position is perfect for someone with strong analytical thinking, curiosity about market dynamics, and a passion for using data to drive social and business growth.

**Job Description**

- Conduct market and growth potential analysis using BPS data (demographics, regional economy, employment, MSMEs, poverty indicators, etc.)
- Identify high-potential regions (village, sub-district, district, regency) for business expansion & growth.
- Integrate BPS data with internal data (portfolio performance, repayment behavior, FO productivity, penetration rate).
- Perform market sizing and opportunity sizing for Grameen products.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support: new area expansion for growth, credit limit or cycle enhancement, and product optimization
- Develop analytical reports, dashboards, and business recommendation decks for management and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Risk, Product, and Operations teams to ensure insights are actionable.

## Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business/Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst; experience in microfinance or financial services is a strong plus.
- Strong SQL skills (complex queries, aggregations), advanced Excel / Google Sheets and BI & visualization tools (Superset, Google Looker Studio.).
- Proven experience in: Secondary data analysis (especially BPS or other public datasets) and market and growth analysis
- Strong understanding of BPS indicators, such as: Population and household statistics, poverty rate and PDRB (regional GDP), employment structure (agriculture, informal sector, MSMEs), and urban vs rural classification
- Ability to translate macro and regional data into practical business implications
