## Requirements

**About the role**

As Frontiers continues to grow, we are strengthening our strategic finance capability to better support long-term decision-making and performance management across the business. 

The Head of Strategic Finance will be partnering closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders to lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance insights. The role will focus on forward-looking analysis, modelling, and strategic decision support.  

You will operate in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment, working across the organization to build insights, challenge assumptions, and shape how financial decisions are made. 

This role is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a strong expectation of regular on-site presence to enable close collaboration with the CFO and leadership team. 

**Your Key Responsibilities** 

-   Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes aligned with strategic objectives, ensuring clear linkage between financial planning and business strategy  

-   Develop and maintain financial models to support business initiatives, investment cases, and scenario analysis, while providing timely insights through performance, variance, and trend analysis  

-   Partner with business leaders to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes, supporting executive and board-level reporting with clear, actionable insights  

-   Drive value creation through analysis and recommendations on capital allocation, cost optimization, and profitability improvement, while continuously improving FP&A processes, tools, data quality, and planning systems  

-   Collaborate closely with Finance Operations to ensure consistency between actuals, forecasts, and plans, while building a strong understanding of business drivers and coaching team members as a hands-on leader and subject-matter expert  

**What We’re Looking For** 

-   Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional qualification preferred 

-   6–10 years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or related roles in a complex, international environment  

-   Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with planning tools and BI platforms and emerging AI-driven approaches 

-   Experience supporting executive, board, or external stakeholder materials, with the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders  

-   Experience coaching or managing team members in a matrixed environment  

-   A high level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment  

-   Strong collaboration and stakeholder focus, combined with a results-oriented mindset  

-   Strategic thinking balanced with a hands-on, proactive approach in a fast-changing environment
