### About the Role

As our **HR Generalist**, you will play a key role in supporting the successful opening and ongoing operation of M Social Sunnyvale. This position will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to help build a strong culture, attract exceptional talent, and create meaningful team member experiences.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about hospitality, recruiting, employee engagement, and building a culture where team members feel connected, valued, and inspired. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly valued, as this position will support a diverse workforce and foster meaningful connections across all departments.

### Your Impact

You will help shape the employee experience from the very beginning. Through recruiting, onboarding, training, engagement initiatives, and employee relations support, you will contribute to building a culture that reflects the M Social brand and supports a high-performing team.

### What You'll Be Doing

### Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

-   Support full-cycle recruiting efforts for all departments
-   Source, screen, and coordinate interviews with candidates
-   Participate in job fairs, community outreach, and recruiting events
-   Partner with department leaders to build strong candidate pipelines
-   Support pre-opening hiring efforts and onboarding activities
-   Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process

### Culture & Team Member Engagement

-   Help create a culture where team members feel connected, recognized, and inspired
-   Support engagement initiatives, celebrations, and recognition programs
-   Assist with orientation and new hire immersion programs
-   Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
-   Promote the M Social values and culture throughout the property

### Employee Relations

-   Serve as a trusted resource for team members and leaders
-   Support investigations and employee relations matters
-   Assist with performance management and corrective action processes
-   Help maintain a positive and respectful workplace culture

### Training & Development

-   Coordinate training programs and compliance requirements
-   Support onboarding and orientation initiatives
-   Track training completion and maintain records
-   Promote continuous learning and development opportunities

### HR Operations & Compliance

-   Maintain employee records and HR systems
-   Support payroll processes, leave administration, and benefits communication
-   Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
-   Assist with audits, reporting, and HR documentation
-   Support safety initiatives and regulatory compliance

### Team Collaboration

-   Partner closely with operational leaders to support business needs
-   Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence
-   Support pre-opening activities and help create memorable team member experiences

## Requirements

### Technical / Role-Specific Requirements

-   Experience in hospitality Human Resources preferred
-   Experience supporting recruiting and talent acquisition initiatives
-   Experience with employee relations, onboarding, and engagement programs
-   Knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices preferred
-   Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems
-   Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
-   Excellent organizational and time management skills

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Previous hotel opening experience strongly preferred
-   Experience recruiting for high-volume or pre-opening environments
-   Experience building culture and employee engagement programs
-   Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
-   PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification preferred
-   Ability to work flexible schedules as business needs require

### Education

-   High school diploma or equivalent required
-   Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
-   Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
