## Description

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Data Scientist to join our UniQue Ispra team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers in the public sector and you will be responsible for developing new business by identifying profitable opportunities, maintaining your client portfolio by building strong, long-lasting relationships, and monitoring the progress of the projects, with the aim to provide excellent client service and added value services.

**What will you be bringing to the team?**

-   Define and implement pipelines to ingest, harmonise, and refresh heterogeneous datasets. This includes managing version updates, schema changes, and rigorous data quality checks for each source.
-   Provide ongoing assistance in maintaining TEDV technical documentation as new data sources are integrated, new indicators are developed, or methodologies are revised.
-   Develop composite indicators from raw data sources, including the formal documentation of methodologies and the maintenance of a metadata catalogue to ensure all derived metrics are reproducible and auditable.
-   Integrate macro-level data with micro-level beneficiary data to produce detailed regional statistics.
-   Assist with territorial analyses focusing on industrial transitions and the governance of EU funds.
-   Actively interact and collaborate with business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers to ensure alignment and project success

## Requirements

**What do you need to succeed in this position?**

-   Master + 4 years of professional experience
-   Experience with Kohesio (beneficiary data) and the Cohesion Open Data Platform (programmatic data).
-   Good knowledge of EUROSTAT regional and country-level datasets.
-   Good knowledge of the BvD’s Orbis database and the EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard.
-   Experience in managing and analyzing Horizon beneficiary data.
-   Experience with other EU funding instruments (i.e. RRF data)
-   Excellent knowledge of R and/or Stata for data manipulation and analysis.
-   Knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
-   Ability to perform efficient statistical modeling and quantitative analysis.
-   Strong ability to harmonize and integrate diverse, heterogeneous data sources
-   Ability to produce clear, well-structured technical documentation and metadata catalogs
-   Commitment to applying high-quality standards to data integrity and methodological rigor
-   Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex data issues
-   Ability to understand, speak and write Spanish (B1) will be an advantage
