## Description

Our client, a privately owned provider of a select range of bespoke services, focussing on personalised fiduciary and advisory services, is looking for a **L**ocal Director/Resident Director. 

**Job Purpose** 

To serve as a member of the Board of Directors, providing corporate governance oversight and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements in Mauritius. 

**Key Responsibilities** 

-   Participate in board meetings and contribute to key business decisions. 

-   Review financial statements, management reports, and board documentation. 

-   Oversee corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management. 

-   Ensure that appropriate internal controls and governance practices are maintained. 

-   Exercise sound judgement and fulfil directors' fiduciary duties. 

-   Liaise with senior management, compliance teams, and relevant stakeholders as required.

## Requirements

**Qualifications and Experience** 

-   Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field/FCCA. 

-   Previous board-level or senior management experience. 

-   Experience in financial services, management companies, or corporate services would be an advantage. 

-   Good knowledge of corporate governance and the Mauritian regulatory framework.

-   High level of integrity and professionalism. 

-   Good communication and decision-making skills. 

-   Ability to handle confidential information.
