## Description

**Revenue Cycle Manager (Dermatology | Remote | Multi-Location Practice)**

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven **Revenue Cycle Manager** to lead and optimize billing operations across a growing, multi-location dermatology practice.

This is a **hands-on leadership role** responsible for managing a fully remote billing team, owning the end-to-end revenue cycle, and driving measurable improvements in collections, accuracy, and compliance across a complex payer environment.

You will not only manage people — you will **own performance**, identify breakdowns in the revenue cycle, and implement solutions that directly impact financial outcomes.

**What You Will Own**

**Revenue Cycle Leadership**

- Oversee the **full revenue cycle**: charge capture, coding, claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and AR resolution
- Ensure timely and accurate claim submission across multiple locations and payer types
- Monitor AR aging and enforce disciplined follow-up and escalation protocols
- Lead denial management and appeals, especially for high-value and complex cases

**Team Management**

- Lead and develop a **remote RCM team** (billers, coders, AR, denial specialists)
- Set clear KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and enforce accountability
- Manage staffing capacity, workload distribution, and operational coverage
- Recruit, onboard, and train team members aligned with defined standards

**Performance & Reporting**

- Track and report on key RCM metrics:
- clean claim rate, denial rate, days in AR, collection rate, net collection %
- Build and maintain dashboards for real-time performance visibility
- Identify root causes of revenue leakage and implement corrective actions
- Present monthly performance insights to leadership and finance stakeholders

**Compliance & Payer Management**

- Ensure full compliance with **CMS, HIPAA, and payer requirements**
- Manage payer escalations, disputes, and contract-related issues
- Stay current on dermatology coding updates and payer policy changes

**Process & Systems Optimization**

- Evaluate and improve workflows, tools, and billing processes
- Drive automation and system enhancements
- Collaborate with clinical, admin, and IT teams to reduce front-end errors
- Develop SOPs, training materials, and process documentation

**What We Are Looking For**

- Strong experience leading **RCM operations in a multi-location healthcare or specialty practice**
- Deep understanding of **medical billing workflows and revenue cycle performance drivers**
- Ability to **analyze data, identify problems, and implement solutions**
- Proven leadership experience managing remote teams
- High accountability, strong communication, and ownership mindset

## Requirements

**Required Qualifications**

- 5+ years of medical billing / revenue cycle experience
- 2+ years in a **supervisory or management role**
- Experience managing billing operations in a **multi-location healthcare or specialty practice**
- Strong knowledge of:
- CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding
- AR management and denial resolution
- End-to-end revenue cycle operations
- Experience with billing or practice management systems
- Comfortable working in a fully remote leadership environment

**Preferred (Strong Advantage)**

- Dermatology, aesthetics, or plastic surgery RCM experience
- Experience with:
- Modernizing Medicine (EMA), Nextech
- Availity, Waystar or similar platforms
- Relevant certifications (CPC, CPMA, CHBME)
- Experience scaling or building RCM teams
- Exposure to payer contract management or credentialing
