## Description

**About Water.org**

1 in 4 people around the world lack access to safe water and 2 in 5 people don't have access to a safe toilet. We are working every day to change this. We are Water.org. We're here to bring water and sanitation to the world. We want to make it safe, accessible, and cost-effective because we believe that water is the way to empower a bright future that we can all share in, worldwide. We are an international nonprofit organization based in Kansas City, Missouri that has positively transformed millions of lives around the world through access to safe water and sanitation. Founded by Gary White and Matt Damon, we pioneer market-driven financial solutions to the global water crisis. For more than 30 years, we've been providing women hope, children health and families a bright future.

Join Water.org as a Portfolio Lead and help build impactful partnerships that drive transformative change in water and sanitation.

**What You'll Do**

As Portfolio Lead, you'll own a dynamic portfolio of banking and financial institution partnerships, driving the growth and performance of accounts that deliver affordable water and sanitation financing to families who need it most. You'll combine the strategic instincts of a portfolio leader with the relationship depth of a banker — shaping partner strategies, clearing the path for your team, and translating market opportunities into real-world impact.

- **Lead a High-Impact Portfolio:** Oversee planning, performance, and financial targets across a complex portfolio of institutional partnerships focused on expanding access to water and sanitation finance.
- **Drive Partnership Growth:** Engage senior decision-makers at banks, microfinance institutions, and enterprises to sustain year-over-year growth of both new and existing accounts.
- **Shape Strategy, Solve Problems:** Assess and prioritize opportunities across the portfolio, align plans to regional goals, and serve as the first point of escalation when your team needs a path cleared.
- **Keep the Data Honest:** Deliver timely, accurate reporting on account performance, impact progress, and funding utilization so partners and internal stakeholders always have a clear picture of portfolio health.
- **Develop Your Team:** Lead, coach, and challenge a team of account managers and partnership professionals — building their skills, aligning their strengths, and holding space for their growth.
- **Identify What's Next:** Spot potential partners and networks ready to expand into water and sanitation finance solutions, and build the relationships that turn opportunity into impact.

## Requirements

**What Makes You a Great Fit**

- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related work experience.
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility in retail and wholesale finance and/or water and sanitation infrastructure finance and projects, including strategic account management, partner development, and/or project management, plus 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Proven track record in business development, expanding accounts and business contracts with public or private enterprises focused on water and/or sanitation, banks, microfinance institutions, or related enterprises or networks.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience in commercial, corporate, institutional, or business banking, with a progression from individual contributor relationship management into owning a portfolio, business segment, or strategic partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior and executive-level stakeholder relationships and influence decisions across complex, matrixed organizations at a regional, cluster, or portfolio level.
