## Description

We are looking for an experienced **Consultant Oncology & Hematology** to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of **solid tumors, hematological malignancies, and complex blood disorders**, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, evidence-based treatment, and comprehensive patient-centered cancer care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with **oncological and hematological conditions**.
-   Diagnose and manage **solid tumors**, including breast, lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and other cancers within the scope of expertise.
-   Evaluate and manage **hematological malignancies**, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndromes.
-   Diagnose and treat benign hematological conditions, including anemia, thrombocytopenia, coagulation disorders, and thrombotic conditions.
-   Develop individualized cancer treatment plans based on clinical evaluation, histopathology, molecular testing, imaging, and relevant laboratory investigations.
-   Prescribe and supervise **chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and other systemic anticancer treatments** within the authorized scope of practice.
-   Monitor treatment response, disease progression, medication safety, and therapy-related complications.
-   Manage oncological and hematological emergencies, including **febrile neutropenia, tumor lysis syndrome, severe cytopenias, and treatment-related toxicities**.
-   Interpret relevant investigations, including blood counts, peripheral blood films, bone marrow studies, pathology reports, molecular diagnostics, and imaging.
-   Perform or supervise **bone marrow aspiration and biopsy** where appropriately trained and authorized.
-   Coordinate supportive care, transfusion therapy, infection prevention, and symptom management for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
-   Assess patients for **hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT/BMT)** and coordinate referrals or transplant-related care where appropriate.
-   Participate in **multidisciplinary tumor boards** and collaborate with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
-   Provide long-term follow-up, survivorship care, and appropriate screening for disease recurrence.
-   Collaborate with palliative care specialists to support symptom control and quality of life.
-   Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, medication safety, and follow-up care.
-   Supervise and mentor junior physicians and other healthcare professionals.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection control, and patient-safety standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, clinical trials, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Medical Oncology and Hematology**, or an equivalent recognized combined specialty training pathway.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant qualification.
-   Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in **Medical Oncology / Hematology-Oncology** is highly desirable.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience**, including substantial clinical experience in oncology and hematology.
-   Strong expertise in managing **solid tumors, hematological malignancies, and complex blood disorders**.
-   Demonstrated competence in systemic anticancer therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments.
-   Experience managing complex cancer cases and treatment-related complications.
-   Eligible for **DHA Consultant classification/license** in Dubai, with the appropriate specialty classification and clinical privileges for the proposed oncology and hematology duties, subject to regulatory assessment.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary patient-management skills.
