## **Head of Finance Data and Reporting**

**High Wycombe | Hybrid Working | Full Time**

**A quick look at the role.**

As Head of Finance Data & Reporting, you’ll lead the transformation of how Biffa uses data across finance, driving the shift towards trusted insight, advanced analytics, automation and AI informed decision-making. You’ll lead a team responsible for developing and maintaining data models and Power BI reporting solutions for Finance, while identifying and implementing new technologies and improvements to enhance reporting, strengthen controls and deliver greater efficiency and insight.  

**Core Responsibilities**

-   Own and deliver the Finance data and reporting strategy, prioritising reporting, data and automation initiatives.
-   Lead the Finance reporting estate, ensuring Power BI reports are accurate, consistent and well supported, while delivering new solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Financial Reporter.
-   Take ownership of financial data models and D365 data extraction and transformation, leading the transition from the Group Data & Analytics team.
-   Establish robust data governance standards, defining clear accountability, roles and ways of working across Finance and IT.
-   Identify and implement new financial reporting, planning and consolidation solutions, including opportunities to leverage AI.
-   Lead and develop a team delivering financial data, reporting and automation improvements across the business.

**Essential Requirements**

-   Experience leading data, reporting and analytics teams within a complex organisation.
-   Proven ability to manage data and reporting projects end-to-end, with strong stakeholder management and prioritisation skills.
-   Hands-on experience delivering Power BI financial reporting solutions, including dashboard design and data visualisation
-   Strong technical knowledge of ERP-derived financial data, data extraction and transformation, reconciliation, data quality and Star Schema dimensional modelling.
-   Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Direct Lake, SQL, DAX and M Coding.
-   Proven ability to develop team capability, strengthen technical reporting skills and support individual development.
-   Familiarity with financial reporting and management accounting is preferred but not required.
