## Description

Interpath is a financial advisory business with a broad range of specialisms that was formed to allow our people to do what they do best in an agile, independent and conflict-free setting.

We offer the full spectrum of restructuring services from business performance improvement and value creation through to stress, distress and insolvency offerings. Our advisory practice consists of corporate finance, transaction services, valuations, debt advisory, tax, pensions, forensic accounting and e-discovery services.

We help our clients create, defend, preserve, sustain and grow value through the cycle. We work with businesses and their stakeholders across all areas of the market, from regional SMEs all the way up to large, complex multi-national organisations.

Interpath is expanding central KYC team and is looking for a KYC Team Leader to support and guide our growing onboarding function in Algeria. This role is ideal for someone with solid experience in KYC, AML, or compliance who is ready to take the next step into team leadership.

As a Team Leader, you will oversee the day‑to‑day work of the KYC team, ensure high‑quality onboarding across multiple jurisdictions, and act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders. You will help junior analysts grow, support the improvement of our processes, and ensure that all client onboarding activities meet our internal standards and regulatory expectations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring others, solving problems, and taking ownership of operational excellence.

**What You Will Do**

**Team Leadership & Support**

- Supervise and support a team of KYC analysts in their daily onboarding tasks.

- Review their work, provide constructive feedback, and help them develop their technical and professional skills.

- Organise workload distribution to ensure deadlines are met and priorities are clear.

- Act as the first point of escalation for questions, unusual cases, or complex risk situations.

**Quality Control & Risk Oversight**

- Review and validate KYC files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies.

- Oversee screening results (PEPs, sanctions, adverse media) and guide the team on how to handle higher‑risk findings.

- Ensure that risk ratings, due diligence levels, and assessments are applied consistently across the team.

- Support the completion of client, engagement, and third‑party risk assessments.

**Process Management & Continuous Improvement**

- Help the MLRO team based in the UK refine and improve onboarding workflows to make them more efficient and user‑friendly.

- Identify recurring issues or bottlenecks and propose practical solutions.

- Contribute to the development of internal KYC and risk management guidelines.

- Ensure that all onboarding steps are properly documented and aligned with global standards.

**Stakeholder Collaboration**

- Collaborate with client engagement teams to ensure all risk‑related requirements are completed before project launch.

- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders, providing updates, clarifications, and guidance when needed.

## Requirements

**Experience & Knowledge**

- Experience in KYC, AML, CTF, compliance, or risk management, ideally at least 5 years.

- Previous mentoring or informal leadership experience is a plus, even if not in a formal team lead role.

- Strong understanding of corporate structures and international onboarding requirements.

- Familiarity with advisory, consulting, or transactional environments is an advantage.

**Skills & Qualities**

- Confident communicator who can guide others and explain concepts clearly.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable reviewing others’ work.

- Proactive mindset with a willingness to improve processes and support team growth.

- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

**Our Values:**

**Embrace different:** From cultures to mindsets, we welcome them all. Our global presence means we’re inclusive by nature and we believe that people are equal, but not the same.

**Do the right thing:** Our comfort zone is uncomfortable; we always make the right decision not what is simply easy or popular. Always consider how to implement these decisions, people will always remember how you made them feel.

**All hands on deck:** We stand shoulder to shoulder with colleagues and clients, be that physically or from afar. Our individual expertise may find them answers, but it is through teamwork that it is implemented.

**Passion drives success:** The impossible is always possible, we push the boundaries of what is expected because we’re never satisfied with the status quo. Our clients expect a positive result when they engage with us, and it’s only by delivering this that we win.
