We're seeking an experienced **IT Strategic Lead** to drive a critical phase of an organisation-wide technology transformation. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a strategic IT professional who can quickly assess the current environment, establish strong governance and operating foundations, and deliver practical improvements that position the organisation for long-term success.

Working closely with executive leadership, you'll lead the stabilisation of the IT function, develop a clear technology roadmap, strengthen governance, and prepare the organisation for future transformation initiatives, including a major ERP program. This is an outcomes-focused engagement where you'll make an immediate impact while leaving behind sustainable frameworks, processes, and capability. **This role will be a 6-term contract based on-site in Sydney, NSW.**

## Requirements

### What You'll Do

-   Provide strategic leadership to strengthen and modernise the IT function.
-   Develop and implement an IT operating model that clearly defines strategic and operational responsibilities.
-   Create a technology roadmap aligned to organisational priorities and future transformation initiatives.
-   Establish IT governance frameworks, including project governance, decision-making structures, and demand management processes.
-   Review the existing technology environment and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce technical debt, and optimise systems.
-   Improve IT service delivery by embedding consistent processes and service management practices.
-   Strengthen cyber governance, documentation, risk management, and compliance.
-   Assess team capability, identify skills gaps, and recommend workforce and sourcing strategies.
-   Build strong relationships with executive leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to drive organisational change.
-   Develop KPIs, governance artefacts, and transition plans to support the next phase of the IT transformation.

### What You'll Bring

-   Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, ideally delivering IT transformation, operating model redesign, or large-scale organisational change.
-   Strong expertise across IT strategy, governance, enterprise architecture, service delivery, and technology project delivery.
-   Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into practical, achievable outcomes.
-   Experience establishing governance frameworks, demand management processes, and effective ways of working.
-   Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
-   A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to build capability and drive sustainable change.
-   Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent senior leadership experience.
-   Professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, or similar will be highly regarded.
