## Description

We are looking for a **Senior Cloud Architect – Presales Engineer** with deep, hands-on expertise across Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure, and GCP, and a strong specialization in Disaster Recovery (DR) and multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud architecture design. The role combines technical solution architecture with customer-facing presales activity: designing solutions, producing high-quality technical documentation and proposals, and delivering compelling presentations to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders

**Responsibilities**

-   Design end-to-end cloud architectures (current-state, target-state, and DR/multi-cloud) across Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure, and GCP based on customer requirements.
-   Lead technical presales engagements: discovery workshops, solution design sessions, and proof-of-concept scoping.
-   Architect DR strategies (cross-region failover, active-active/active-passive, cold/warm/hot standby) spanning single-cloud and multi-cloud/hybrid scenarios.
-   Produce high-quality technical documentation: solution design documents (SDDs), architecture diagrams, RFP/RFI responses, and proposals.
-   Deliver clear, confident presentations to technical and executive audiences, including customer workshops and partner enablement sessions.
-   Partner with sales teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and accurate pricing/BoQs.
-   Support vendor and partner relationship management (Huawei, AWS, Azure, GCP) for technical alignment, licensing, and co-sell opportunities.
-   Collaborate with delivery/engineering teams to ensure proposed designs are implementable and align with best practices.
-   Stay current on hyperscaler and Huawei Cloud service updates, pricing models, and competitive positioning.
-   Contribute to internal capability building: templates, reference architectures, and presales playbooks.
-   Own technical governance of proposed solutions, including security, compliance, and well-architected framework reviews, to ensure designs meet client risk and regulatory requirements.
-   Lead or support proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot implementations to validate proposed architectures and de-risk full-scale delivery before contract signature.
-   Mentor and coach junior presales and solutions engineers on cloud architecture best practices, DR design methodology, and presales techniques.
-   Track and report presales pipeline metrics (win rates, solution reuse, common technical objections) to sales and delivery leadership to drive continuous improvement.

## Requirements

-   8+ years in cloud infrastructure/architecture roles, including 3+ years in a presales, solutions architecture, or customer-facing technical role.

-   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

-   Strong working knowledge of at least 3 of the 4 platforms (Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP), with working familiarity across all four.

-   Proven experience designing Disaster Recovery architectures (RTO/RPO-driven design, backup/replication strategies, failover automation).

-   Demonstrated experience with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architecture design and trade-off analysis.

-   Solid grounding in core infrastructure domains: networking (VPC/VNet design, NAT/SNAT/DNAT, VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect equivalents), compute, storage, and IAM/security.

-   Familiarity with cost optimization and cloud pricing models (on-demand, reserved/savings plans) across providers.

-   Exposure to containers/Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code is a plus.

-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

-   Strong technical writing ability — proposals, SDDs, RFP responses that are clear, structured, and client-ready.

-   Confident, polished presentation skills for both technical and C-level audiences.

-   Strong stakeholder management skills across sales, delivery, and vendor/partner teams.

-   Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities under time pressure.

-   Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, or Huawei Cloud equivalents) for automating and templatizing multi-cloud deployments.

-   Working knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks) as applied to solution design and client risk assessments.

-   Ability to build TCO/ROI models and business cases to support and justify solution recommendations to client stakeholders.

-   **Certificates:**

\- Huawei Cloud (HCIP/HCIE Cloud) or equivalent.  
\- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional).  
\- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.  
\- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
