## Description

Street Child is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their communities through education, protection, and empowerment initiatives. We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) Officer to join our dynamic team. The MEAL Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness, impact, and accountability of our programs by overseeing data collection, analysis, and reporting processes. This position requires a proactive individual who is skilled in developing monitoring frameworks, tracking program progress, and facilitating learning to enhance project outcomes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with program teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure that activities meet their intended goals and that lessons learned inform future interventions. ### Responsibilities

-   Develop and implement comprehensive MEAL frameworks and tools for ongoing projects to track progress and measure impact effectively.
-   Collect, compile, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
-   Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites to ensure compliance with organizational standards and donor requirements.
-   Facilitate learning sessions and workshops to share findings, best practices, and recommendations with program teams and partners.
-   Ensure accountability mechanisms are in place to gather beneficiary feedback and address concerns promptly and transparently.
-   Collaborate with program managers to set realistic targets, indicators, and key performance metrics aligned with organizational objectives.
-   Support proposal development and reporting by providing data-driven insights and evidence of program effectiveness and challenges.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or related fields; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
-   Proven experience of at least 3 years working in MEAL roles within nonprofit organizations, preferably in child-focused programs.
-   Strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, tools, and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or similar).
-   Demonstrated ability to design and implement MEAL frameworks, including Logical Framework Approaches and Theory of Change models.
-   Excellent data management skills combined with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex information for diverse audiences.
-   Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders in feedback and learning processes.
-   Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team under tight deadlines, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
