## Description

**Overview**

**Bassett Healthcare Network**_**,**_ a progressive, academic health system in Central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery. 

-   **Salary Range: $142,809 - $186,000**
-   **Sign-on Bonus: up to $75,000**
-   **Location: Cooperstown, NY**

**Job Description & Responsibilities**

-   Join an established group of 2 Surgeons and 2 Advanced Practice Clinicians
-   Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
-   Responsibilities include clinic where you will see new and established patients, post-op visits, telemedicine, floor management of post-op patients, and first assisting in the OR
-   No Neurosurgery call – General Surgical call is optional
-   The Neurosurgery team- Bassett Medical Center has a strong relationship with the University of Rochester Medical Center and Columbia University for teaching, education, and resident involvement.
-   Previous surgical experience preferred but not essential
-   Hours include but not limited to: Clinic hours typically run from 8:00-4:30, and OR days are variable with two-to-three occurrences per week.

## Requirements

-   National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
-   New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
-   BLS Certification Required
-   DEA Required

**Compensation**

-   Salary Range: $142,809 - $186,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards._
