## Description

A long-established plastic injection-molding manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Sales & Business Development Manager to lead new customer development and help drive the company's next stage of growth.

The company has been operating for more than 40 years and has an established customer base, proprietary product lines, company-owned molds and intellectual property, and OEM/contract manufacturing capabilities. Its customers span institutional, retail, industrial, specialty, and international markets.

The company has historically grown without a dedicated sales team. This creates an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing sales professional to take ownership of business development, pursue new OEM and contract-manufacturing relationships, expand existing channels, and help utilize available manufacturing capacity.

**Compensation**

• Base salary of $80,000–$100,000 based on experience

• Performance-based incentive bonus of up to 25% of base salary

• Total annual compensation potential of up to $125,000 at the top of the base range

• Incentives tied to new business development, revenue growth, and performance objectives

**What You'll Be Selling**

The company operates an established in-house plastic injection-molding platform and generates revenue from both proprietary molded products and OEM/contract manufacturing.

Approximately 58% of current revenue comes from its primary proprietary product family, approximately 25% from OEM/contract manufacturing, and approximately 17% from additional proprietary products and accessories.

This gives the Sales & Business Development Manager multiple avenues for growth rather than requiring the successful candidate to sell a single product or service.

**Your Mission**

The primary objective of this position is to develop new revenue opportunities and increase utilization of the company's existing manufacturing capabilities.

You will:

• Identify and develop new OEM and contract-manufacturing customers

• Prospect manufacturers and businesses that outsource injection-molded components or finished products

• Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline

• Develop and execute an outbound business-development strategy

• Generate opportunities through direct outreach, networking, referrals, industry relationships, and digital channels

• Identify opportunities to expand sales of existing proprietary products

• Develop relationships with prospective customers from initial contact through quotation and close

• Work closely with manufacturing leadership to evaluate new programs and production requirements

• Understand customer specifications, anticipated volumes, timelines, and commercial requirements

• Assist with pricing, proposals, quotations, and contract discussions

• Develop and expand relationships with existing customers

• Identify new markets and applications that fit the company's manufacturing capabilities

• Provide management with regular pipeline, opportunity, and sales forecasts

**Manufacturing Capabilities**

You'll represent an established manufacturing operation with:

• Multiple plastic injection-molding machines across several tonnage ranges

• In-house custom printing and laser-marking capabilities

• Machine-shop, grinding, inspection, processing, and material-handling equipment

• Company-owned proprietary molds and intellectual property

The existing equipment base has capacity to support materially greater production without requiring major additional equipment investment, according to company-provided materials.

**Who We're Looking For**

This position is best suited for someone who enjoys developing business rather than simply managing an established book of accounts.

Relevant experience may include:

• Plastic injection molding

• Plastics manufacturing

• Contract manufacturing

• OEM manufacturing

• Engineered components

• Industrial manufacturing

• Packaging or molded products

• Technical sales

• Industrial business development

## Requirements

• Proven B2B sales or business-development experience

• Experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, or OEM environments strongly preferred

• Injection molding or plastics manufacturing experience highly desirable

• Demonstrated ability to prospect and develop new accounts

• Comfortable communicating with engineers, purchasing professionals, operations leaders, executives, and business owners

• Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills

• Ability to understand technical manufacturing requirements without necessarily being an engineer

• Organized and disciplined with prospecting, pipeline management, and follow-up

• Entrepreneurial approach to identifying and pursuing new revenue opportunities

• Comfortable taking ownership of business development rather than relying primarily on inbound leads

## Benefits

. Full Medical, Dental, Vision and 401(k)

. Comprehensive PTO

Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000

Incentive Bonus: Up to 25% of base salary
